known for its superior service and unmatched integrity.  This family owned and operated business is focused on

end users and Steel Distributors alike. We fill large-scale steel distribution and steel fabrication needs other suppliers
can’t, WMI is here to save the day. Take a look around; we think you’ll enjoy getting to know the everyday heroes
here at WMI.
Our History
In 1974, this family owned and operated company started off as a small first stage fabricator with a shear and press
brake.  Year after year WMI focused on serving ALL the steel needs of its customer base and decided to get into the
distribution business.  In 1978 the company bought its first decoil line and began providing custom cut to length sheet
and plate from coil.  This not only gave them an edge on pricing their fabricated products, but also provided
opportunity to expand into the steel distribution business.  In the early 80’s the company built a structural products
division and began distributing angle, flat bar, channel, tubing, rebar, round rod, pipe and beam.  In time, WMI added
bigger and better press brakes, oxy fuel tables, lasers, plate rolls, angle rolls and more.  In 2003, the company
embarked on growing its mill plate distribution business and now provides over nine different grades of plate in more
than one hundred different sizes. Buying directly from the plate mills gives WMI the cost advantage on fabricated

In late 2010, we added our first Bradbury cut to length line to our Flat Roll Distribution. This increased our cut to
length capability to a true ˝” thickness x 96” width, and up to grade 80 coils. The Bradbury cut to length line
eliminates camber, waviness, chatter, coil break, long edge, center buckle, oil can, and most importantly relieves
tension in cut plate. Therefore, keeping your steel flat after heat is applied through plasma, oxy, or laser cutting.

In late 2011, we upgraded another cut to length line with this same state of the art Bradbury E-drive System with Flat-
Trak Technology. This addition gives WMI three precision cut to length lines with unmatched quality and production
capacity in the Southwest. Our goal is to give you quality product, the way you want and when you need it.
